KAREN BANKHEAD-HITTS (Helen Wright)

Karen performs as Etta Mae Mumphries and has charmed audiences everywhere, with her hysterical recollections and witty words of wisdom. She is an NAACP theatre award winner for best actress and live venues include Groundlings Sunday Company, HBO Workspace, San Francisco Fringe¸ Comedy Central Showcase, and United International Solo Fest, NYC.


 

DARRYL ALAN REED (Wendel Wright)

You may know reed from 500 Days Of Summer, Sweet and :owdown and the American President. He is a two-time NAACP Theater Award recipient, Ovation Award winner and recipient of the Joseph Jefferson Award for actor in a supporting role in a play for "Ties That Bind," at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.


 

URSALINE BRYANT (Margurite)

Ursaline is an actress Known for All or Nothin’, All the Marbles, Hot Pursuit and Flood Streets. She played starship captain Tryla Scott in Star Trek: The Next Generation Episode "Conspiracy."


 

IMAM JD HALL (Narrator)

For the past forty plus years JD Hall has earned his living in theater, film, and television. As an actor he’s appeared on numerous tv shows such as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, iCarly, and Lincoln Heights. Additionally, he’s lent his voice talents to over five hundred films, shows, and theme park attractions including: the Hulk, Black Panther, and Splash Mountain (Disneyland).


 

JANAE LATRICE JETT (Woman 1)

With a bachelor's degree in psychology and master's in marriage and family therapy, Janae has a long-standing passion for music, singing, and performing arts. She performed her debut theatre role as Chelsea, in the play, She Won and is actively involved in the children's ministry within her church as a playwright, producer, actor, and director.


 

BARBARA MORRISON (Music)

Barbara Morrison’s fifty year career as a performer and recording artist includes appearances worldwide with some of the greatest names in jazz. She has performed with artists Ray Charles, Joe Williams, Jimmy Witherspoon, Eddie Harris, Nancy Wilson, and Jimmy Smith, and in highly regarded venues such as Carnegie Hall, the North Sea Jazz Festival, and the Bern Jazz Festival.
